Dr. Nguyen is fellowship-trained in sports medicine and total joints. Born in Vietnam and raised in California, he can speak multiple languages such as Vietnamese and Spanish.

Musculoskeletal injuries were an interest of Dr. Nguyen at an early age when he fractured his tibia/fibula as a wrestler in high school. This sparked his interest in helping others walk again. He completed his training in Orthopaedic residency at Howard University followed by a sports medicine fellowship at Detroit Medical Center. Afterwards, he completed a 6- month clinical experience and surgical observer-ship with Orthopaedic Trauma & Fracture Specialists in San Diego. Finally, he completed a second fellowship in total joints at the Nano Clinic.
